Schools Program

9by4 is a Schools Development Program that is designed to foster fitness, fun & health. This program aims to promote an active lifestyle, facilitate a sense of community, belonging & acceptance by developing leadership & team skills plus build confidence and self- esteem of students within a safe environment.

Many teens face diverse social and academic pressures in addition to dealing with emotional and physical changes. Teens tend to spend more time sitting around and getting involved in some form of media (TV, music, internet and video games). Parents are finding it increasing difficult to motivate teens to participate in an active lifestyle. Today there are plenty of options for physical activity, but to keep them motivated has to be fun.

Participating in team sports can boost self - confidence, provide opportunities for social interaction, and offer a chance to have fun.

We offer a competition that is fun, inviting and challenging without being intimidating to those who may not be proficient in basketball. We believe 9by4 is just the alternative to capture the imagination of all driven by different rules and regulations.

9by4 Competition

Thanks to the modifications and a unique set of rules 9by4 appeals to a wider market than the traditional game of basketball.

Currently in its infancy a regional competition open to both male & female participants from Age 12 to Adult is being formed. It is envisaged that a State wide competition be established followed by a National competition. This competition is exciting, entertaining & rewarding for both player and spectator. 9by4 is where we achieve together.
